Plot

Do you need a lawyer? He runs his law firm from his Lincoln and is ready to get down to business. Moving around Los Angeles, he does business while simultaneously combining his personal life, which includes the role of a father and the presence of two ex-wives.

Originally slated for a 2020 CBS project, the series was canceled right before filming the first episode due to COVID. Now Netflix has picked it up for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Copper Verdict. Dressing tables in California are allowed a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey plates have at least eight.

“Lincoln’s Lawyer” was better than I expected. I have never read the books on which this film was based, but I watched the film with Matthew McConaughey and thought that it was really good, but it was not worth making a TV series out of it. I really expected that this would be a low-budget plagiarism.

I am very wrong

In fact, I liked it more than the film. I wasn’t going to watch it until I saw all the great reviews and saw that it was one of the most watched shows of the year on Netflix. Manuel García-Rulfo does well in the role of the main character, and Becky Newton, Neve Campbell, Angus Sampson and others do a great job in supporting roles.

While it’s not the best show about lawyers you’ll see, it’s definitely worth watching
