Plot
At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, a young Bob Dylan shakes up the folk scene, embodying the electrifying, rocking voice of a generation that would define one of the most groundbreaking moments in 20th-century music. Scenes shot for the film depict the 1965 Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island, where Bob Dylan first publicly performed his electric guitar, and the film was shot on the waterfront in Cape May, New Jersey. Because of the resort’s commitment to National Historic Landmark status, and its concentration of Victorian and other 19th- and 20th-century architectural motifs, minimal compensation was required.
