Plot

A unique profile of British pop star Robbie Williams. It took a year and a half to secure permission to film the lavish dance sequence on Regent Street in London over four nights, as it is actually owned by the British royal family. Two nights before they were scheduled to film, after spending a full week of rehearsals in a studio where they record the street, Queen Elizabeth II passed away and filming had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid anyway, including stores and crew, and production insurance did not cover losses due to the death of a monarch, so the producers had to raise additional funds to film the sequence, which was filmed five months later. The title character, Robbie Williams, is portrayed as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not, in fact, a chimpanzee.
