Plot
Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew” and more stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that Neel’s younger siblings are entertained by is the same one that Chewbacca’s family watches in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).
When I saw the first episode, I was so happy it was about 40 minutes long
I think the show is great so far, but there’s one problem that really annoys me: the runtime. Then came episode two: if you count the flashback and the credits, it’s not even 25 minutes. If I get 25 minutes of a show every week, I have to watch what happened in the week before last.
As for the actors: my god, they are kids
As soon as you can’t really get lost in the universe, you’ve warmed up to it, it’s over. Incredibly unsatisfying! I probably won’t watch this for months and will try to avoid all spoilers so I can watch the whole thing next year.
You can tell they haven’t had years of acting training
Nevertheless, the protagonists are likable, the music fits, and the action isn’t exactly kid-friendly. After two episodes, I can’t wait to see what happens next, but unfortunately I won’t find out until next year.
